Sandford – 400kV NG Substation and 132kV WPD Substation

Major substation design with significant infrastructure and environmental constraints. PRP designed and detailed all Civil, Structural, Architectural and M&E works including a new 1km long addition to the Strawberry Line, a safe cycle path spanning Mid-Somerset from Clevedon to Shepton Mallet. Drainage diversion works, SuDS and environmental issues were all big factors to overcome on this project. Significant cut and fill works were all detailed using Civils 3D software with the remainder of the works fully detailed in 3D using Revit.
