London Array, Cleve Hill Onshore Substation

Winner: ICE Brassey Award. PRP undertook the Civil, Structural, Architectural and M&E detailed design of the onshore substation which receives power from offshore at 150kV and boosts this to 400kV via six transformers. Built by Siemens PLC using Trant Engineering Ltd as the civil contractor, this project featured a striking architectural wall to shield the site, significant cut and fill, SuDS compliant drainage, GIS buildings and architecturally treated filter pods.
