New SGT’s at Littlebrook 400 kV substation
The practice have been responsible for the design of foundations, oil storage moats, drainage, roads and all other civil engineering elements for New SuperGrid Transformers, Shunt Reactors and MSC’s & MSCDN’s in and around London and Southern England. The works undertaken on PTD sites include the design of oil containment schemes to prevent ground and watercourse pollution in the event of accidental oil spillage.
Associated works include foundation design for ancillary structures subjected to dynamic loadings, piling in poor ground conditions, precast concrete firewall to protect plant in the event of fire and underground fire protected oil storage tanks.
